Atlanta - Things to do
Atlanta is known as the capitol of the “New South”, and this
dynamic southern city has something special going on every day of the
year. Start with the Georgia Dome, from college football bowl games and
basketball tournaments to exciting NFL pro football; this beautiful arena
is home to many great sporting events. The Ferst Center for the Arts
is the venue for travelling artists including national dance troupes
and top recording artists stopping in Atlanta while on tour. The High
Museum of Art is the place in Atlanta where art lovers go, and there
are always unique exhibits to be found for those with a strong, or passing,
interest in art. The Margaret Mitchell House & Museum is one of Atlanta’s
most popular museums, and is a must-visit for anyone visiting the city.
Atlanta is also very proud of its multi-cultural heritage, and there
are always events to be found that reflect on the past, present and future
of this great American city.
